What causes female infertility factor?

Infertility v.s. Sterility
Infertility does not mean that a couple is unable to reproduce ever. There may be many factors preventing a couple from conceiving. Sterility refers to the inability to conceive a child.

Female infertility factor can be caused by a number of reasons. Women usually are not aware that they are infertile until they start trying to conceive. Whereas, some men may be able to suspect male factor infertility, due to such signs as undescended testicles.

The most common cause for infertility among women is tubal blockage, which is the direct result of pelvic inflammatory disease. An egg needs to move through the fallopian tubes in order to reach the uterus, however when the fallopian tubes are obstructed, this prevents that from happening.
