About
Istanbul, Turkey
ISTANBUL
Istanbul, an attraction point for many civilizations for centuries, nestles a unique historic and cultural heritage. The world famous Bosphorus, lying between not only two banks of the city, but two continents, hosts live examples of such a richness. The leading historic values that place Istanbul in a peerless position among world metropoles belong to Byzantine and Ottoman periods while the history of human settlement in the city dates back 300,000 years. Istanbul itself is more like a giant outdoor museum with its palaces, castles, city walls, and museums. Still, current importance attached to Istanbul as a world city is not limited to its history. This modern city has always been called "the country’s window to the west." The health industry proves this modernism. Thousands of internationally approved doctors operate at global standards in modern hospitals and medical facilities, with the hi-tech equipment used in developed countries. Turkey in general is a candidate to take place among the pioneer counties of medical tourism with high quality standards beside cost advantages.
TURKEY: A MEDICAL DESTINATION
Turkey, a country in crossroads (as a developing country and literally between Europe and Asia ) stands is this picture,

2)Turkey’s strategic location at the junction of Europe and Asia is a significant advantage in terms of attracting patients from around the world. Turkey is a major tourist destination ranking ninth globally and receiving approximately $17 billion tourists in 2006.[1] Thus, the government and the health care and tourism industry of Turkey have the name recognition advantage to position the country as a leading health travel destination.

3) Intercultural dimension: Diverse cultural, ethnical and religious communities lives in harmony. Collective experience on serving the needs of people from multicultural backgrounds makes it a seemless journey for medical travelers.
4) Turkey is one of the oldest and precious countries of the world , whose history goes back to 6000 BC. A unique mosaic that was the capital of such tree important empires that led the history of humanity as Roman, Byzantium and Ottoman, and that consists of numerous communities that have different languagesi religions and race from each other.
5) Vibrant democracy: Freedom for citizens and powered women population
WHY TURKEY?
There are a couple of reasons why Turkey has a advanced healthcare services:
• Qualified human resources: experienced medical staff possessing English speaking skills
• Turkey’s private medical infrastructure is now a well-built option in the global medical tourism arena. (22/147 JCI accredited hospitals)
• Increasing international exposure with various International affiliations (HMI, John Hopkins, Methodist Hospital, MD Anderson, Cleveland Clinic etc.) which shows that they are uniting their local experience with international expertise
We believe that, “the experience” is what matters today and for many, this is synonymous with service excellence for Acibadem.
All of these services are delivered with Turkish Hospitality in AHG.
